Ritchey Outback

The latest build of mine is built around the incredible Ritchey Outback frame.

Christened as Skye Ritchey but referred to simply as 'The Ritchey', this bike has really exceeded all expectations.

I wanted a more capable off-road machine that could accommodate various build options down the road if I so wished. This has resulted in the Ritchey evolving into an endurance off road race bike and a very capable one at that!

As always comfort and reliability is front and centre but I wanted something a bit more aggressive for both on and off road adventures, it has achieved all of this and inspired me to take my riding into other areas I previously would never have imagined.

Velo Orange Pass Hunter

Known as Clementine, she was built with the intent of going far, comfortably and looking good while doing so.

With a deliberate nod to bikes of yesteryear but with the luxury of disc brake, Clementine really does turn heads, she is far more popular than I will ever be!

Built around the older Velo Orange Pass Hunter frameset, custom wheels and a mishmash of tried and tested components she is super comfortable and very reliable.

Friction shifting and mechanical brake lines means repairs can be done in the back of beyond, on the side of road or up a mountain.

She can be loaded up for a tour or paired down for an Audax.

Needless to say I am very proud of this build, she really is my forever bike.

Brother Cycles R725 Track

The first custom build in my trio of bikes, affectionately named Whitney.

Build around a Brother Cycles R725 track frame and Royce components she was a "spare no expense" project, all in the name of going fast, really fast...

Being originally designed for track cycling I soon converted her to road use with a front brake because I am not completely mad, and fitted some bottle bosses as I am also not a camel.

She retained her fixed gear and aggressive setup as there is something exhilarating about riding a machine where you have to commit to every pedal stroke and movement.

She is reserved for sunny training days as the roads of Dorset are not kind to 23mm tyres.
